In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
A different Ramadān! Always ❤️
I've been with my thoughts a lot, so there are a lot of reflections...
Thank you for indulging me.
We talk about life in the seasons that they are, and I find it quite apt, to be honest.
They come and go
It's ebb and flow
There are peaks and troughs
And our Lord remains the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. He doesn't change.
I've been a little unwell and woke up quite early yesterday feeling so much better. My child was up early, too, and asked to play with my hair. I said yes, it gave her something to focus on and allowed me to recite some Qur'an.
Between 4am and 5.30am, at some point I had a mix of face mask/cream and toddler saliva in my hair because she couldn't find the 'vaseline for hair' but I kept saying to myself, there is water and I can wash it. Alhamdulillah. The darling even offered to wash it for me. I said, "No! Thank you!"
I have been working on an article for @nurturevillage titled "Getting through Ramadān without yelling at your child(ren)." And as it is, when I decide to write something, I get tested a lot.
No, I didn't yell. And I still got through what Allah ﷻ had written for me to get through. Alhamdulillah! I needed to have a longer bath cos now I had to wash my hair. And so I ran a little late for the the next thing I got to do. Alhamdulillah!
And in the words of @thebookjacket Ramadān sure looks a lot different, but He loves me all the same.
He loves you too.
This is so beautiful to read😍 Allahumma Bareek!
