Ramadān Reflection

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

It is like there is a new challenge everyday! Or a new app or a new way to chill or just hang or just be. The world is ever-changing.⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣⁣Before now, there were so many concerns about screen time for kids and well now, our kids are mostly studying via screens. It was like get with the program or not, you are on your own.⁣⁣⁣ Alhamdulillah for the means.⁣

⁣⁣⁣⁣Some trends are necessary; it is a different time, but some are not. And what is necessary for one and unique to their situation isn't necessary for another. The fear of missing out is on an all time high too. We. Just. Do. Even when we dont know why we are doing it.⁣

⁣It is that we do not truly know Allah or maybe sometimes we just forget? We forget that He is responsible for the means and the results.⁣

⁣The Bani Israel, after safely crossing the sea only by the power of Allah came across a group of people worshipping idols. And they said to Musa (AS)... ⁣⁣⁣⁣

"O Musa, make for us a god like theirs"⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣⁣Subhan Allah!⁣⁣⁣

⁣The greatest ignorance is to not know Allah. We need to know Allah ﷻ - The One who guides us, provides for us, saves us, teaches us, heals us, sustains us, sees, hears and knows what we conceal and what we reveal. He ﷻ provides the means and the results.⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣⁣Allahu Akbar!⁣⁣⁣⁣

Maybe we need to look in our own lives at those sea splitting moments and start to know Allah ﷻ.

⁣⁣⁣Ya Allah! Teach us and help us always remember You, to purify our intentions often and guide us to the straight path. Amin.
