In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting. And We will surely give those who were patient their reward according to the best of what they used to do. [Qur’an 16:96]
Everything has an end date. One day all we possess in this world will not matter. Everything! Like our material things are not everlasting, also the non-tangible, like sickness, emotions, grief, mental states… it is all fleeting and will pass soon enough.
All that Allah ﷻ has is never lost.
In fact, Abu Maisarah narrated from 'Aishah that they had slaughtered a sheep, so the Prophet ﷺ said: "What remains of it?" She said: "Nothing remains of it except its shoulder." He said: "All of it remains except its shoulder."
And this one too...The Prophet ﷺ has said:
“You will never give up a thing for the sake of Allah ﷻ , but that Allah will replace it for you with something that is better for you than it.” (Ahmad)
Now for those facing any hardship or difficulty, it will bring relief that even that does not last for ever. May Allah ﷻ alleviate for you your suffering. Amin!
In Surah al-Kahf, Allah ﷻ tell us, "but the enduring good deeds are better." So now, when you think in terms of…
Time - What are you putting forth with Allah ﷻ within your 24 hours?
Knowledge for the sake of Allah - Check intentions, how are you growing in your seeking?
How can we place more things with Allah ﷻ ? Cos nothing is ever lost in His care.
Totally random, But I love the saying “Fi Amanillah” which means “In Allah’s trust” or as implied, “I leave you in the safety/trust of Allah” I mean if you compare that first to “bye-bye” that we say; I see it as, “I love you, and I leave you in Allah’s trust because with Him, nothing is ever lost.”
May Allah ﷻ allow us to rely on Him, do only for Him; seeking His “face” and may we get the pleasure of seeing Him in Jannah. Amin!
I prepared a small guidebook for anyone who wants to make tadabbur one small part of their day. It has one ayah from each juz, some notes from various tafasir (all referenced), and personal reflection questions to get you started. Allow the Qur'an transform you.
Also, Women of Tadabbur is open. You can join us! In sha’a Allah!
