In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord. And they who believe in the signs of their Lord And they who do not associate anything with their LordAnd they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. [Qur’an 23:55-61]
We strive so hard for this Dunya and tend to be lazy with our relationship with Allah.
We should always want to be of those who are ‘al- sabiqoon’; those foremost in good deeds.
We were all made different, we look different, we have different levels of wealth and academic excellence, but those are not a measure of our worth in the sight of Allah ﷻ. Our taqwa, willingness to obey His commands and forbid His prohibitions are more important.
And for charity "Don't be lazy with your charity."
The days of Ramadan is such a beautiful opportunity for us to try to be of the sabiqoon.
Ponder:
1 - How do you intend to be a forerunner towards good in the last 10 days. ?
2 - How can you improve your khushoo in salah?
3 - What matters do you try to take the lead in?
A deep one - think, "What if your deeds were not accepted? How would you start to improve them?”
I prepared a small guidebook for anyone who wants to make tadabbur one small part of their day. It has one ayah from each juz, some notes from various tafasir (all referenced), and personal reflection questions. Allow the Qur'an transform you.
