Fajr Thoughts: Juz 20
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
وَمَن جٰهَدَ فَإِنَّما يُجٰهِدُ لِنَفسِهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ عَنِ العٰلَمينَ ٦
And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds. [Qur’an 29:6]
The struggle is real and now we learn that our struggle is for our benefit. There is the one against Shaytan, against our Nafs, against cultures, morals, social and economic principles.
Hasan Basri has said: “Man exerts in the way of Allah, even though he may not strike one sword at any time.”
Maybe thats I why we mostly feel so exhausted cos our nafs be doing the most. And we just mentally fighting it?
- How can you go against your soul for Allah ﷻ striving only for His reward?
- What more are you willing to give up for Allah ﷻ this last ten days In sha’a Allah?
I prepared a small guidebook for anyone who wants to make tadabbur one small part of their day. It has one ayah from each juz, some notes from various tafasir (all referenced), and personal reflection questions. Allow the Qur'an transform you.
Also, Women of Tadabbur is open. You can join us! Just 3 more days.
