In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."[Qur’an 39:53]
This Ayah is just full of hope. We sometimes find that we allow our selves to move away from Allah ﷻ because of our sins. This ayah encourages us to turn to Him in repentance despite our sins. As long as your heart beats, is a chance to turn to Him.
And a beating heart is all you need.
From a hadith - "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you were to commit sin until your sins filled the space between heaven and earth, then you were to ask Allah for forgiveness, He would forgive you. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, if you did not commit sin, Allah would bring other people who would commit sins and then ask Allah for forgiveness so that He could forgive them"
You have a choice to make, to turn to Allah ﷻ or to turn away and this is a choice you make consciously or not.
Don't wallow in hopelessness - Attach your hope to His Mercy.
Don't think too highly of yourself, your sins no matter how big you think they are can not overcome His Mercy.
Don't give up on people but more than that, don't give up on yourself.
Now, please tell me. What came up for you?
I prepared a small guidebook for anyone who wants to make tadabbur one small part of their day. It has one ayah from each juz, some notes from various tafasir (all referenced), and personal reflection questions. Allow the Qur'an transform you.
Final call!
