In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Allah is Subtle with His servants; He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might. Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest. And whoever desires the harvest of this world - We give him thereof, but there is not for him in the Hereafter any share. [Qur’an 42:19-20]
We constantly feel like if we had more money we would have our needs met and then something happens and you have more money but you find yourself stuck in a crazy circle of still needing more.
Now imagine if Allah ﷻ gives you all your sustenance at once. Do you trust yourself to manage the resources well?
I uswd to eat a lot of bread growing up and my dad will always tease me that allah already wrote how much bread I will ever eat in my life so if i like I should finish it in one day. Who knows maybe that is why I found and fell in love with puff puff but then I digress…
He is Al Latif and in His wisdom He gives us according to our needs and the preservation of it is in His Hands. He is Al Qawiyy and His Strength is unmatched noone can forcefully take away something from Him.
How can we start to put in the work for the Akhirah? Are you actively working for the Akhirah?
it is hard for us trying to find a sort of balance for the dunya and Akhira. But more and more, I am convinced this balance is an illusion. Let us not cheat ourselves and wrong outselvesin finding this balance.
May Allah ﷻ grant us the best in the Dunya and in the Akhirah. Amin!
I prepared a small guidebook for anyone who wants to make tadabbur one small part of their day. It has one ayah from each juz, some notes from various tafasir (all referenced), and personal reflection questions. Allow the Qur'an transform you.
