In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
We created man––We know what his soul whispers to him: We are closer to him than his jugular vein––[Surah Qāf: 16]
Closer than the vein that transports his blood!
This one statement brings fear and comfort. Fear for when you are on the wrong and comfort for when you are right. It also brings a whole new meaning to "lonely but not alone".
Nothing passes by Allah ﷻ.
Not your thoughts and definitely not your actions or inactions.
The same way, death can seize us at any second wherever we maybe right?
…because "We are closer to him than his jugular vein"
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has pardoned my nation for the stray thoughts occurring within themselves, as long as they do not speak of them or act upon them.”

A big one that jumps at me is how quick we share our thoughts and opinions about people without even confirming or being sure.
Please take a moment to make du'a for my dear aunty. She passed away three days ago. May Allah have mercy on her soul. Amīn. May Allah take us when He is most pleased with us and may He enter us into Jannah without account. Amīn.
I prepared a small guidebook for anyone who wants to make tadabbur one small part of their day. It has one ayah from each juz, some notes from various tafasir (all referenced), and personal reflection questions. Allow the Qur'an transform you.
May Allah forgive your aunt, shine his Noor upon her grave and reunite you all in Jannatul firduas. Amin
