In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I was sending out the monthly email for the women of tadabbur and it hit me that this started exactly 3 years ago. You live one life but with so many beginnings. Alhamdulillah.
I still refer to the first group of ladies as the Founders of women of tadabbur. I am grateful. Humbled. Blessed. Allah definitely chooses, and all the women that have come, gone and stayed, have taught me something. And the “struggle bus” has become less lonely with each person that hops on.
One of our goal has always been to live the Qur'an one ayah at a time. And it still remains the goal. So much has come from it, our monthly tadabbur and tea potlucks, Fajr club sessions, Reconnect, Community Study sessions and even Sister's Suhbah.
To be honest, I am grateful for the community we have. I find it overwhelming sometimes hosting and stuff, but in all of it, we have found a family within it, too.
To the ladies who help a lot behind the scenes, who do all that needs to be done so I get to do what I love the most, as we host.
To the ladies who encourage and push and show up, not worried if they hear the same thing over and over again.
To the ladies who pay and pay and pay so long as it is our name on the flier.
To the ladies who do not allow me to forget that I am a pharmacist in my introductions and remind me of all the other things that I forget to say that I do.
To the ladies who keep me committed and dont make me afraid to show my human-ness.
To the ladies who overlook my flaws and still keep me on my toes.
To the ladies who mention my name in places and sometimes even push me out of my comfort zone.
To the ladies who make dua for me and my family.
I pray that Allah blesses you and keeps you and writes you among the ones that He loves. His love is perfect. The greatest love. I love you all for the sake of Allah.
Please keep us all in your du'as. And if you havent yet, please, join us.
Love,
Umm Bilal
