In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The one thing we are sure of is that we would die but we are mostly unprepared for it.
You ever ask about or talk with someone and a few hours you hear they have passed?
You are like “passed where?” Was there a bridge somewhere? Or maybe they passed by someone's house. Your mind is just not able to make sense of it.
And then a group of people come in to help and they turn to a loved one of the deceased and say, “what is the plan?”
…what plan
…we didn’t plan
…we didn’t know
…we didn’t discuss it
I mean who discusses dying.
We plan so much for so many things and even our backup plans have backups but not death.
The destroyer of pleasures…
The end of life one life this life
Even in a room with a horrible prognosis, no one wants to talk about it.
Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a group who were laughing and playing. The Prophet said, “Remember often the destroyer of pleasures: death.”
I saw grief come down as tears
I saw grief appear as a smile on the lips
I saw grief show up as wonder and amazement
And I noticed, everyone wanted to talk about their last moment with YOU.
Only no one knew it was the LAST.
What would people say about me?
Do my loved ones feel the love?
Where they inspired by my goodness?
Do they feel like it is good riddance?
What have I sent forward?
What am I leaving behind?
May Allah forgive all those who have passed and May He take us when He is Most pleased.
This is beautiful write up.May Allah have mercy on our soul when depart the earth.
Ameen ya rabbi..
