And One More Thing #2: Knowledge
Ramadān Reflections
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
{ وَعَلَّمَ ءَادَمَ ٱلۡأَسۡمَاۤءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمۡ عَلَى ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنۢبِـُٔونِی بِأَسۡمَاۤءِ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ }
[Surah Al-Baqarah: 31]
He taught Adam the names of all things, then He presented them to the angels and said, “Tell Me the names of these, if what you say is true?”
When Allah ﷻ created Adam (AS), the first thing He gave him was knowledge.
Before He gave him a spouse
Before He gave him the food of Jannah
He gave him life and then knowledge
It was also with knowledge he elevated the status of man and it is with that knowledge he sent man down to earth.
Knowing this, would you choose knowledge or ignorance?
What priority do you give knowledge in your life?
What excuses keep you from seeking knowledge?
Ya Alīm, grant us beneficial knowledge and teach us so we can uunderstand. Amin.
